If all the intelligence is out
in the field, all you need is a simple, portable,
and effective way to communicate with the array.

In the Firelinx Reliable Wireless
firing system, all field modules are fully intelligent
Master firing controllers. The Command Module
is a simple and effective device for automating
all of the tasks necessary to run the system.
The Command Module interfaces to the operator’s
personal computer to download the show choreography
files, but no PC is required in firing the show.
The primary task of the Command Module is to
make operation of the firing system simple and
intuitive. A large, daylight-readable 5.7”
LCD with a touch panel provides a simple user
interface and operation using a simple text and
button structure. All of the major tasks from
continuity checks, system self-test, arming and
firing, are all handled by the on-board processors.
In many cases, a show can be setup and run with
as few as three commands.
Features:
- Tough polycarbonate case is lightweight but impact resistant and able to take abuse.
- Daylight readable LCD with back light makes the interface as easy to use in daylight as after dark.
- The translucent case glows blue during setup, green when arming, and red when the system is charged. This allows everyone in the field to spot and see the status of the system.
- The Command Module contains two computers, one for communications and another for running the user interface. Then we add another complete backup system to take control if anything happens to the electronics during the show.
- High performance batteries are good for 12 hours, and there is an external power plug.
- External trigger input allows the Command Module to expand your current system. A single firing pulse from any other system can initiate a complete automated sequence – sort of a fireworks subroutine.
- Audio input for SMPTE time code can be on an RCA jack, or on an XLR cable.
- Time Code input is automatically detected.
- Power switch is protected against accidental activation or deactivation.
- Power button or key switch options are available.
- Operator Presence Detect (OPD or “dead-man”) switches built into the case handles for convenience and ease-of-use.
- Optional jack input for legacy OPD devices.
- Optional Manual pickle switch/trigger input. The Pickle switch has OPD, firing trigger, and nudge up/down buttons built into our ergonomic control handle. Removable clear LCD cover protects against accidental activation or inclement weather.
- Manual or automatic firing. Manual mode available even during automatic sequences.
- An optional wired communications interface is included, using 24 ga. firing wire.
- SMPTE standard synchronization code keeps the show in sync with the music.
- Heartbeat signal allows safety shutdown in case of loss of positive control.
- Active power management conserves battery life.
- Built-in battery charger. The travel case is the recharging stand.
