"Sometimes
I want to re-use music and choreography from another
show I did. Usually I just re-type the cue list
from my old notes. What can you do to help me?"
The
Firelinx choreography software allows re-use of
segments in later shows and importing of expert
choreographies from the Web. Good choreographies
may be shared or sold to others, or just stored
for later use. The software stores your choreography
on a musical segment basis, rather than as one
complete show. The segments can be easily moved
around, added and deleted as you're planning the
show. When complete, the full music score is written
to CD, along with a timing track for automatic
firing. Later, individual segments may be stored
to disk, or cut and pasted into another display
with a specialized replacement tool that makes
it easy to change the product used.
"I
have my main product library and then I have the
set that I want the choreographer to use during
the show--sort of to set his budget. But what
usually happens is he wants a special shell, or
we decide he can go a little over budget, and
I have to prepare a whole 'nother library to give
him."
The
software database can access any number of libraries.
You can partition the product any way that makes
sense to you: create larger libraries from smaller
ones, smaller ones from bigger ones, or a library
for each vendor. The libraries are merged when
you access them from the software, giving you
total control with minimal fuss.
